HDP (People's Democratic Party) co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş and a delegation of deputies accompanying him have paid a visit to Şırnak's Cizre district today.

The delegation made examinations in the basements of atrocity where nearly 200 people were burned alive in a savage operation by Turkish military and police forces.

Demirtaş and the delegation were surrounded and attacked by police forces without any warning upon their leave from the basements on their way to the HDP district office.

It grabbed attention that the police attack directly targeted HDP co-chair Demirtaş whom locals tried to prevent from police forces.

HDP co-chair later went to HDP office with his official car that arrived the scene amid continued attacks by police forces.
