Thousands have gathered in the main Kurdish city Amed today to march to the central Sur district where a state of siege continues for the 36th uninterrupted day.
Large masses from across the city gathered at Batıkent Square since early this morning upon a call by DBP (Party of Democratic Regions) and HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party).
Police forces that had already surrounded the mass before the beginning of the march have attacked the people as they started to walk. Thousands have been targeted by intense tear gas and water cannons.
