People continue their resistance in front of Amed Municipality which remains under a siege since last night when the co-mayors were detained and the municipality building was raided.

The people that gathered on the nearby Lise Street were attacked by police with water cannons as they chanted slogans. The people were heavily assaulted during the crackdown.

HDP deputies Çağlar Demirel, Besime Konca, Leyla Birlik, Dirayet Taşdemir, Selma Irmak and Ferhat Encü were also surrounded and battered by police as they tried to prevent the attack.

It grabbed attention that the police chief in the area told policemen to "arrest deputies as well".

10 people were detained during the crackdown as the people's resistance continues.
