Police force people out of their houses in Silopi

State forces have aggravated their attacks after failing to break the popular resistance in neighborhoods in the sixth day of the curfew.

Ongoing tank strikes against Nuh, Başak, Cudi and Barbaros neighborhoods have left dozens of houses demolished and many others on fire.

POLICE AND SOLDIERS TAKE UP POSITION IN HOUSES

In Barbaros neighborhood, a civilian house near 23 Nisan Elementary School has been turned into a military quarters by soldiers and special operation police who have placed sandbags on windows and built an emplacement in the house. In the areas where there are no barricades, special operation police teams have raided some houses and forced the households out, who include children.

In Karşıyaka neighborhood, artillery and mortar attacks have wounded many civilians who remain stuck in houses.

PEOPLE ARE BATTERED AND FORCED TO LEAVE HOME

In the area between Nuh and Başak neighborhoods, soldiers and special operation police have also battered civilians and forced them to leave their houses.

The displaced people are reportedly being held at Closed Sports Hall in Yenişehir neighborhood where state forces have on the other hand raided DBP district office and are preparing it as an emplacement now.

In the meantime, Cumhuriyet Elementary School in Nuh neighborhood has also been targeted and completely demolished by cannon balls.

'THEY STOLE OUR GOLDS'

Selahattin Konur, a resident of Yenişehir neighborhood, told that special operation police have forcibly broken into their flat on the 10th floor of a building, adding; "Police and soldiers have seized our golds that valued 12 thousand TL. They got my 85-year-old father on the ground. They have no humanity or heart. They uttered swearwords and insults at us."

Konur called upon the Kurdistan people to stand by Botan people against this atrocity.
