Police forces raid the municipality of Amed's central Bağlar district

Police forces have raided the DBP-held municipality of Amed's central Bağlar district early Tuesday morning, which is thought to be a preparation for the appointment of a trustee to the only municipality.

A number of special operations police raided the Bağlar Municipality and started a detailed search early Tuesday morning yet before the beginning of the working hour.

On the other hand, Bağlar Municipality Deputy Mayor Murat Satıcı was taken into custody following a house raid in the early hours of the morning.

This morning's operation is thought to be a preparation for the appointment of a trustee to the only municipality in Amed center that has not been usurped by the government in the all-out crackdown against the elected representatives and institutions of the Kurdish people.
