A 19-year-old youth by the name of Musur Aslan was shot by police when he left Abdülkadirpaşa neighborhood for Şirin Street late Thursday evening.
As Aslan got heavily wounded as a result of the armed attack, residents of the neighborhood managed to take him to Nusaybin State Hospital where he, however, succumbed to his injuries. His body has been sent to Mardin State Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
After failing to enter the neighborhood in the face of the resistance by residents, police teams started to open fire on Yenişehir neighborhood, which left civilian Rabia Bağtur (35) wounded.
The woman was referred to Mardin State Hospital following an initial treatment at Nusaybin State Hospital to which people managed to take her in a blanket.
With the most recent casualties, the number of civilians killed during the last one week of curfew in the district rose to 4, and those wounded to 15.
