The headquarters of Free Women's Congress (Kongreya Jinên Azad, KJA) in Amed's central Kayapınar district was raided by police forces early Thursday evening.

A detailed search is being made in the office which is surrounded by police forces.

KJA Spokeswoman Ayla Akat Ata was detained during the demonstration in front of Amed Municipality protesting the detention of co-mayors Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı, and the raid on the municipality building.
