Policeman wounded in blast in Sur 3 days ago dies

Police officer who was wounded and hospitalized as a result of a blast in Amed's Sur district 3 days ago, has died.

On January 16, a roadside bomb was detonated near the Dicle University in Amed's central Sur district.

At least 4 policeman died and 2 others were injured as a result of the bombing that targeted a police shuttle.

A policeman by the name of Furkan Demir, one of the police officers severely injured in the blast, was then taken under treatment at the intensive care unit of Dicle University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. Demir died late Wednesday evening, rising the death toll of the blast to 5, according to official figures.
