On March 25, guerrillas hit the Turkish soldiers preparing for an operation on Mount İkiyaka- zero point at the border with Southern Kurdistan- in Oremar (Dağlıca) region of Hakkari's Gever (Yüksekova) district. Clashes that continued since have ended. Local sources confirm that many soldiers have been killed during the clashes in this area.

Reports are coming through that the Turkish army is preparing to launch a large scale operation in the territory of Talanêzêbê, Eşawitê, Bazê villages and Cilo hamlet in Oremar region. The operation will reportedly be joined by three battalions of soldiers that are currently kept waiting at Yüksekova 3rd Infantry Division Command, as well as village guards (armed locals serving the Turkish army in the battle against the Kurdish movement).
