Protest against isolation in front of the UN office in Hewler

Demonstrations in solidarity with Kurdish hunger strike protests against the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan continue growing.

A group of demonstrators gathered in front of the United Nations office in Hewler city of South Kurdistan early Wednesday morning to draw attention to the hunger strike protests demanding the end of the isolation imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The demonstrators carried flags in solidarity with the hunger strikers and banners and chanted slogans “No to isolation” and “Freedom for Öcalan”.

The mass also protested against the silence of international institutions on the hunger strikes as the activists are already in critical conditions and are nearing death every passing day.
