Protest in Binarê Qendîl against Turkey’s use of chemical weapons

A protest rally against Turkish chemical weapons use has taken place in the self-governing southern Kurdish region of Binarê Qendîl.

In the village of Alye Reş in the self-governing southern Kurdish region of Binarê Qendîl, a protest took place on Friday against Turkey's use of chemical weapons against the Medya Defense Zones. People from several villages in the municipality took part in the rally. Speaking on behalf of the people of the region, Şêx Mihemed Bestî said, "The chemical weapons used by the Turkish state are not only causing massive harm to the people, but equally to the environment. In addition to its attacks on Basûr [Southern Kurdistan], the Turkish state is now preparing to attack Rojava. But it will be met with historic resistance."

Bestî appealed to the parties of South Kurdistan and the world public not to remain silent about the attacks of the Turkish state.
