PYD, issued a written statement on the discourse of Massoud Barzani that attempts to legitimize Turkey’s invasion of Rojava and Syria.

In its statement, PYD recalled that the invasion of Jarablus came right after the statement Barzani made during his Ankara visit, where Barzani had said that surprising developments would soon take place. PYD condemned Barzani’s statement and said that the recent attacks constitute a threat against the gains of YPG and YPJ fighters as well as all democratic forces in Syria.

HOSTILITY

PYD emphasized that in the interview he gave to the TV channel France 24, Barzani showed his hostility against the peoples of Rojava and North Syria and tried to legitimize Turkey’s invasion of Rojava. PYD criticized Barzani’s hostility towards the Federal System project that constitutes a solution for all peoples of Syria, as well as his support for PDKS (KDP in Syria).

Lastly, PYD called upon Barzani to stop his enmity and take a step for the National Congress.
