Guerrillas in the Xakurkê area spoke about the current situation of the Martyr Agirî and Martyr Piroz revolutionary operation launched with the coming of the spring. The guerrillas pointed out the effective actions carried out as part of the operation and said, “If they have the advanced technology of the 21st century, we have our lands that have opened their bosoms to their children,” adding that the Turkish army will be ended in the Xakurkê area. YJA-Star guerrilla Mizgin Kurdistan and HPG guerrilla Herekol Şiyar spoke to the ANF about the resistance in Xakurkê.

YJA-Star guerrilla Mizgîn Kürdistan stated that they are marching towards victory in the line of Bêrîtan and that victory is inevitable. HPG guerrillas Herekol Şiyar called on the Turkish media and said, “If they have the heart for it, they can come see it up close.”

With the launch of the operation, YJA-Star guerrillas carried out a series of effective and unique actions. As a YJA-Star guerrilla, what do you think about these unique actions?

YJA-Star guerrilla Mizgîn Kürdistan: We conduct very effective actions from Şemzinan to the Bradost area. All women comrades lead this process with great resolve and claim. As YJA-Star guerrillas, the resolute resistance in the Xakurkê area is Bêrîtan’s legacy, coming to us from the ‘90s. Today we are marching towards victory in the line of Bêrîtan. This resistance has always continued like this. Surrender was never accepted in the Xakurkê area. In the line of Berîtan, we are resolved to become Axîns. We defend this legacy with our resolve for effective actions.

The Turkish state stresses that the Xakurkê area is empty and there is nobody left. But, contrary to these rumors, there are strong actions all throughout Xakurkê. What can you say about that?

The enemy publishes false stories every day that they ended the guerrilla, and that there is nobody left. But this question remains: If the guerrilla are not in this area, who is killing all the soldiers? Who carries out this many strong actions? Our comrades are positioned everywhere throughout Xakurkê right now, in action. This war the Turkish state wages by putting all its economy forth is without result. They are not hurting us. On the contrary, every day our comrades hold actions on the same hill, sometimes more, up to three times a day. We are voiding all their advanced technology with simple tactics. Every day, these lands are bombed and the nature is killed. The Turkish state has no solution, and is experiencing defeat.

You mentioned this in your analysis, the paradise-like beauty of the Xakurkê area is being bombed with jets. They burn and destroy this beauty. What do you think about this massacre against nature?

The whole world knows what kind of a state Turkey is. They have such a fascistic mind that they can’t even tolerate the earth, the land itself. All the enemy aims for is to destroy anything pertaining to Kurdistan. This is a visible truth. They are killing nature in Kurdistan. They fear even our land, that is why they want to destroy it. They see their survival through our demise. It is not a success for the enemy to take one or two hills here and there. These hills are under our control, they are our lands, our territory. We are resolute to resist bolder every day until we achieve the victory befitting our country.

Guerrillas are positioned all throughout the Xakurkê area and carry out strong actions. In this sense, what are your claims as per the current situation?

HPG guerrilla Herekol Şiyar: The Turkish army has been trying to implement an invasion operation for a while now. They disseminate various false news about this matter. They claim the Xakurkê operation is done and they have moved on to Qandil, but we are in Xakurkê now. If we weren’t, we’d have thought this was over too, going by the Turkish media. But the area they have invaded is the Lêlîkan Hill in the Sidekan district. In their media ran by a single hand, they show a random hill that isn’t even closeby and say that is Qandil. But you can’t even see Qandil from where they are. The “Heroic Turkish Army” thinks they can achieve an invasion victory with the technology they hide behind, but we are guerrillas. We are a creative force.

WE HAVE A PROMISE TO OUR PEOPLE

Whoever thinks the guerrilla is done for in this region can come and see the region up close. If they have the heart, they can come to Sidekan, not Xakurkê, and hear the cries of soldiers, witness their mood in the positions. We are the children of these lands, we are from the mountains. The soldiers are strangers on this land, they don’t know it. In every action, we hear their cries for help.

I want to stress this: We are not in love with war, and we are not murderers. But these are our lands. We have a promise to our people- as long as we are here, nobody can oppress our people. We take our strength from our Leader and his ideology. We promised victory for our cause. If they are the second biggest army in NATO, if they have the most advanced technology of the 21st century, we have our lands that have opened their bosoms to their children.

Like you say in your analyses, despite all the technology there is victory, not defeat in your area. What is the source of this?

That comes from the hope and faith in the revolution. This revolution will happen. We made a promise, and we are loyal to it. The actions we carry out might be a surprise to some, but they aren’t for us. The Turkish state only has intelligence and technology left in their hands. Other than that, they have nothing. The soldiers have no spirit that could stand up against us. In the hills they settled in, they can’t put their noses out out of fear. They don’t even know their surroundings. Wherever we are, we will not let the Turkish state or their soldiers to breathe easy.

What is the Turkish soldiers’ morale like?

The soldiers are in great fear. We can see that from their positions. They surrounded every camp they have with technology. We are not fighting against human beings here, we are not fighting a bunch of soldiers, we are fighting technology. They surrounded themselves with all heavy weapons. When we knowingly make an appearance, they just bomb everything through the night without knowing what actually happened. They don’t even know if there are guerrillas around them or not. Xakurkê is known for resistance. These are our lands. We will all watch the defeat of the Turkish state here, together.
