QSD forces take control of the strategic Hawl-Xatuniyê road

Syrian Democratic Forces (QSD) have taken control of the strategic Hawl-Xatuniyê road.

Syrian Democratic Forces (QSD) have taken control of the strategic road between Hawl and Xatuniyê.

In an effort to hinder the advance of QSD forces, ISIS gangs have attempted to attack the emplacements of QSD units near Xatuniyê. The attack was thwarted by QSD units that destroyed a bomb-laden vehicle before it reached the target.

As part of their ongoing operation against ISIS-occupied areas in south Hesekê, QSD forces have liberated the villages of Ennezla and Sherabiyîn as well as two hamlets from ISIS gangs last night. 11 members of ISIS gangs were killed in clashes in this area, including the leader for Xatuniye area by the name of Ebu Xettab El-Iraki, and the leader for Bihera hamlet by the name of Ebu Xalit El-Tunisi.

While five more ISIS members were killed during the fighting around Xidirheyîs village early in the morning, QSD units have thwarted another suicide car bomb attack by the gangs.
