Residents of Xerabê Bava: State forces' siege and attacks continue

Residents of Nusaybin's Xerabê Bava village, which remains under the siege and attacks of Turkish state forces since February 11, stated that attacks are ongoing.

People in the Xerabê Bava village in Mardin's Nusaybin district, which remains under the siege and attacks of Turkish state forces since February 11, spoke to ANF regarding the latest situation in the village.

Locals pointed out an ongoing curfew in the village, and a hunger and thirst problem they are experiencing amid the ongoing siege.

"END THIS SAVAGERY"

Villagers that asked to be mentioned anonymous for security reasons told that they cannot even put their head out of the window to see what is being done by state forces in the village. Pointing to a serious depression caused by the savagery on children, villagers demanded an immediate end to this atrocity.

"We do not have concrete information as to what is going on in the village. There are cases of execution, torture, injury and detention but we do not know the details either. A huge savagery and attack has been perpetrated here."

"HUNGER AND THIRST PROBLEM"

Villagers remarked that they are facing a lack of food and water in the village as of this morning, reporting that they cannot get out of their homes for days now, that animals have perished, and that they are facing a hunger and thirst problem as they have run out of all their supplies at their homes.

"NO GUNFIGHT"

Locals remarked that they hear no gunfight, and reported an ongoing presence of soldiers and special operations teams in the village. Villagers stressed that they will never forget what is being done to them, and called for an immediate leave of Turkish soldiers from their village.
