Rojava's Mohamad: We will open more representation offices in Europe

Rojava Democratic Administration Representative Sinam Mohamad said they will open more representation offices in Europe and one in Washington. Referring to Astana meeting, she said: "Turkey has finished itself while trying to make us lose."

Speaking to ANF, Sinam Mohamad, Foreign Representative of the Autonomous Region Rojava Democratic Administration, stated about the recent Astana meeting on Syria -led by Russia, Turkey and Iran- that talks that do not involve the representatives of Syrian peoples will not succeed.

"FEDERATION VIEWED AS A MODEL FOR RESOLUTION”

Mohamad recalled that the foreign representation offices of Rojava tried to demonstrate the Northern Syria Democratic Federation since their opening around a year ago.

Mohamad said they have attained some results in their efforts abroad, telling the followings: “All the parties we had talks with so far approve and accept our project which, however, needs to be adopted by the peoples living across Syria. These parties state that they can officially acknowledge this project once it is agreed on by the peoples. International forces have no problem with the administration of Syria as a federation or any other system that grants freedom and autonomy for peoples. All the circles we have met with state that the problem in Syria could only be resolved with such a model.”

"OFFICIAL ADDRESSEE"

Referring to their representation offices in Paris, Sweden, Stockholm, Berlin and the Netherlands, Rojava Representative Mohamad said the followings regarding the works of these offices: "These fulfill their mission of diplomacy and foreign representation. They represent our country, our revolution and our society where are they are located, and perform works in official relations with these locations, their parliaments, society and NGOs. They have become an official addressee."

"NEW OFFICES TO OPEN"

Mohamad informed that they will open new representation offices in some European countries in the coming period, adding that preparations are underway for the opening of an office in Washington.

"These representation offices are aimed to be the voice of Rojava and to introduce its resistance and objective. We try to tell that we have carried out a revolution that arose with the struggle given against atrocity and terrorists. Besides, Rojava has already gained recognition itself as youths from almost all countries are taking place in our struggle, fighting in the ranks of YPG, YPJ and SDF, and some of them fell martyr during the battle. In addition to what we tell, there is also what is told by these brave people to their societies and peoples. The Revolution of Rojava was recognized and acknowledged in this way."

"FORCES OF ROJAVA ARE RECOGNIZED"

Mohamad pointed out that the political and military forces of Northern Syria and Rojava are clearly recognized in the countries where representation offices are located. She said the autonomous administrations of cantons, federation and Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) are viewed as the political will of Northern Syria peoples; while YPG, YPJ and SDF are acknowledged as the military forces of this territory.

Mohamad recalled that YPG, YPJ and SDF are the only force in the world that is capable of fighting and defeating ISIS, as was proved in numerous cases, and continued: "Kobanê was the best example in this regard. SDF are counted as the force of all the peoples in Northern Syria, and the only force that can be relied on and to be allied with. Peoples gathered in a political will first, and then they unified their military forces and formed a force to defend their homes and lands. SDF is believed to be fighting for entire Syria rather than Northern Syria alone."

Mohamad also touched upon the remarks of some circles on 'Rojava peshmergas' which they mention as if there was another force in Rojava. She said: "No state that we had talks with so far has mentioned 'Rojava peshmergas'. The West does not know about this thing which does not exist but is still brought up by some circles particularly."

"TURKEY HAS LOST THE MOST"

Regarding the recent Astana meeting, Mohamad said Turkey is the party that has lost the most in this meeting which -she said- was no different than the previous meetings and conferences of its kind that purportedly sought a resolution to the Syria conflict.

"No resolution has been found or produced to the Syrian problem that continues for 6 years now. The path to solution was closed and blocked with the approach that the situation should remain as it is now. Some opposition and international forces now seek a so-called resolution in Astana and other places. However, Astana ended up in the same way the Geneva 1-2-3 conferences, and the following Cairo and Moscow ones did. The Astana meeting was organized by Russia, Turkey and Iran who gathered groups purportedly clashing with the regime with an intention to enable a ceasefire. Turkey had turned its back on the so-called Syrian opposition it gathered in Istanbul. With this meeting, it has also turned its back on the rest, and it even tried to eliminate some of these. This is the outcome of the Astana meeting."

"NO RESOLUTION CAN BE REACHED WITHOUT THE REPRESENTATION OF NORTHERN SYRIA PEOPLES"

Mohamad underlined that there is one single political will that thinks, struggles and seeks a resolution for entire Syria, which is the Northern Syria Federation and the military forces of SDF, YPG and YPJ. She said no meeting or conference that excludes these parties will succeed.

Remarking that Turkey made numerous concessions in order to hinder the participation of this political and military will in the meeting, saying: "Turkey's goal is to frustrate our project and and to weaken the relations of democratic Syrian forces with international forces. By doing this, Turkey wants to make Syria keep losing. To this end, it has sold out the rest of the opposition it had stood by. Turkey obstructed our representation in this meeting but it has been cast out entirely in Syria and has no place to say a single word now. Turkey has finished itself while trying to make us lose."

Mohamad noted that the Astana meeting ended without any resolution, proposal, opinion or project, attributing this failure to the lack of those representing general Syria, and the representatives of Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Assyrians, Circassians, Chechens and Turkmens.

"It has been proven once again with this meeting that no talk or conference that does not involve all the representatives of Syrian peoples will succeed", she added.
