HDP Şırnak deputy Faysal Sarıyıldız who is in the town of Cizre has confirmed that state forces massacred dozens of people trapped in a building last night.
Speaking to ANF Monday morning, Sarıyıldız said the followings regarding the recent situation in the town after last night's reports of 60 people killed in an operation on a basement; “What we know is that there were 62 people in the second building where people took shelter in mass, most of whom were wounded. It is now certain that dozens of them have been massacred. 9 had already burned to death before, and one kid had been murdered at the door, and bodies of these had also remained in this building together with the wounded. It is understood that the others have also been executed. We have learned now that bodies of some 30 people were found burned in the house behind the petrol station, and that there are no bullet marks on these bodies.”
Sarıyıldız described the mass killing as the savagest one of recent years, stressing that they will never forget this atrocity.
On the other hand, reports are coming through that police locked the hospital staff in a room as they brought the bodies of the people they executed to hospital. Police had also taken a number of body bags from the hospital early Sunday morning, which strengthens doubts over a mass execution planned in advance.
