An anti-riot police vehicle hit a man aged 45-50 on Eczaneler Street in Yüksekova (Gever) district of Hakkari. The police vehicle didn't stop, and went on to run over the man who therewith lost his life at the scene.

As masses rushed to the scene after the savage murder, special operation police opened fire on the people from an armored vehicle, from which residents tried to protect themselves by throwing stones.

Clashes erupted between special operation teams and Civil Defense Units (Yekineyên Parastina Sîvîl, YPS) that rushed to the scene after the brutal murder of the elderly civilian.

While the fighting spreads across the town, body of the man reportedly remains at the scene.
