Security forces drive around villages with a body in the trunk

An operation was launched by the Turkish state in Ömerli, Mardin. Seven people were detained while security forces brought a body from village to village in the trunk of the car asking people if they knew him.

The Mardin Governorate launched a Turkish military operation in the rural districts of Kayagöze (Xirbêmamitê), Taşlıca (Xanîsora), Harmankaya (Kewarêxê) and Duygulu (Yestê) in Ömerli, which has been under curfew yesterday, Friday.

It was learned that the Gendarmerie Special Operation (JÖH) teams carried out several home raids. People in the house were beaten and insulted during the raids.

Seven people, including some old people and children, were taken into custody as the result of the raids. The people detained were named as Mehmet Nezir Bilgiç (52), Kazım Dağ (50), Sultan Bilgiç (46), Ferhat Ortaç (18) M.B. (17) S.Y. (16) and Ş.D. (15) were taken to Mardin Provincial Gendarmerie Station.
