Several detained in Chamchamal amid mass protests

Asayish (public security) forces detained several people after the declaration of a curfew in Southern Kurdistan’s Chamchamal city.

Demonstrations in protest at the government’s policies are spreading across Southern Kurdistan.

Six people lost their lives and 103 others were wounded as a result of the attacks by asayish (public security) forces against masses in Rania. In Kelar town, one person has died and 19 others got wounded.

In the city of Chamchamal, which is also witnessing intense protests, asayish forces detained several people after the declaration  of a curfew.
