The sexual abuse of children in Turkey keep coming to light. After the terrific reports from the province of Karaman, a sexual abuse attack took place in Bingöl this time. 4 suspects, whose ages range from 40 to 50 were arrested.

A similar sexual abuse attack to the one in Karaman took place in Bingöl. It has come to light that 7 people raped a 16 year old child for 3 years. The suspects, neighborhood shopkeepers aged between 40 and 50, were arrested.

The 16 year old child victimised in Bingöl was hospitalized after falling ill. The doctor examining the child was suspicious and uncovered the sexual abuse as they talked. The examination documented the sexual abuse of the child.

THE RAPISTS ARE SHOPKEEPERS AGED 40 TO 50

The doctor informed the hospital police, upon which 7 suspects were detained for sexually abusing the child for 3 years, from age 13 to 16. The suspects are neighborhood shopkeepers aged 40 to 50.

4 out of the 7 people were arrested and the remaining 3 were released. There is suspicion that the suspects sexually abused other children as well.

A social media campaign has been started in protest at the sexual abuse attack in Bingöl. The hashtag #BingöldekiTecavüzeSessizKalma (Do not remain silent on rape in Bingöl) is used to bring the abuse to attention.

In the Karaman incident, it had come to light that boys staying in Ensar Foundation dormitories had been raped by their teacher.
