The people of Sheladize protested the Turkish state attacks and marched to the Sire Military Base in the region. Despite intervention by security forces, the people overcame the obstacles and took over the military base.

The people set fire to the mobile tents in the Turkish military base and some of the tanks. Several other vehicles were also burned down.

Turkish soldiers abandoned most of the base and retreated to the buildings.

There are claims that some soldiers were taken hostage by the people.

The people demand the Turkish soldiers evacuate the bases and leave Southern Kurdistan.
