The second congress for the Shengal Constituent Assembly was held under the motto “Democratic Autonomy To Build A New Shengal” yesterday.

400 delegates from around the world participated in the congress which was held in Serdeshte area in Mount Shengal. During this meeting, name of Shengal Constituent Assembly was changed into Shengal Democratic Autonomy Assembly. 101 members were elected for the Assembly yesterday, who gathered once again in Shengal today.

Assembly members elected Riham Hiço and Hisên Hecî Nayîf as co-chairs of the Shengal Democratic Autonomy Assembly, and Qehtan Xelîl and Kurdê Elîjî as deputy co-chairs today.
