Turkish soldiers have reportedly removed HPG guerrillas’ bodies from their graves and took them away.
Reports say in the Herekol region, construction machinery dug up HPG guerrillas’ graves under soldiers’ supervision and the bodies were taken away in bags.
The Herekol region is between Şırnak and Siirt, and the Turkish soldiers conducting an operation in this region have reportedly attacked the Martyr Resul and Martyr Azime Cemetery where HPG guerrillas who lost their lives on various dates are buried. Local sources say the graves were dug up by construction machinery that belongs to the Special Provincial Administration and removed the bodies under supervision of soldiers.
The bodies were placed in bags but where they were taken is unknown.
THE CEMETERY HAD BEEN BOMBED BEFORE
Bodies of HPG guerrillas who recently lost their lives in clashes are also buried in the cemetery which holds some 70 graves. The area the cemetery is in had been bombed by Turkish fighter jets in November 2015, and the headstones were damaged by soldiers.
