Soldiers set a forest in Amed’s Hazro district on fire during their operation in Lice, Hazro and Kocaköy, which began after the announcement of a curfew in 18 villages across the region.

Clashes take place in the region from time to time, and Turkish soldiers are bombarding and setting on fire the forest near the village of Helhel in Hazro. The fire that broke out after the bombardment from helicopters has been documented.

Both the clashes and the forest fire continue in the region.
