Qandil people: We are not afraid of Turkey

Turkey is bombing villages of Qandil.

The people of South Kurdistan which is being bombed by Turkish warplanes sent a message to the invading forces: “We are not afraid of the Turkish state. We will not leave our lands”.

The occupation of South Kurdistan by the Turkish state is continuing. On Friday evening, warplanes bombed around the village of Enze in Qandil.

The bombing is targeting people of the region, hitting families, farming areas and animals. The fields were burned, and many trees were destroyed.

People from South Kurdistan, who reacted to the attack, said they would not bow to the Turkish state.

Ster Miheme, who lives in Qandil, said: “Turkey is constantly bombing our lands. They say they are targeting the PKK, but we can see that they are targeting us.

They have been trying to spread fear over the years, but we are not afraid of the Turkish state. We will not leave our lands. We will fight for our lands”.
