Southern Kurdistan officials call for the release of Moslem

Officials from Southern Kurdistan called for the immediate release of Saleh Moslem and urged human rights organizations to act for him.

According to a statement published on the official website of Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Kurdistan Regional Government Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabanî called for the release of former PYD Co-chair and TEV-DEM Foreign Affairs official Saleh Moslem who was arrested in Prague, capital city of Czech Republic the night before.

MÛRAD: A BLOW AGAINST COUNTRIES DEFENDING DEMOCRACY

PUK Central Committee Official Adil Murad said the following on his official social media account: “Arrest of Saleh Moslem is a right violation against libertarian peoples and a blow against the countries that claim to be defending values of democracy in Rojava. We condemn the detention of Saleh Moslem and call on human rights organizations to go into action in order for him to be released immediately.”

Mûrad stated that they as PUK support the struggle of Rojava people.

EBDULLAH: IMMORALITY

Kurdistan Free Society Movement (Tevgera Azadî) Co-chair Mihemed Ebdullah also made a written statement and described Moslem’s detention as “another black mark of the system and capitalist modernity ruling”.

Ebdullah said that; “The capitalist civilization mindset has nothing in the name of morality that has been replaced by hypocrisy and self-interest. From the labelling of Dr. Qasimlo, Dr. Şerefkendî and Paris martyrs as terrorists to the abduction of democratic peoples’ leader Abdullah Ocalan and arrest of Saleh Moslem, all these unmask Europe and show how far it is from democracy. Saleh Moslem must be released in the shortest time.”
