Southern Kurdistan people fed up with Turkish attacks

Turkish warplanes carried out bombardments against the villages in Sidekan town of Hewler three times last night. One child got wounded and people were forced to leave their homes due to attacks.

People of Southern Kurdistan villages in Sidekan region are forced to leave their homes because of aerial attacks of the Turkish state. Last night, Turkish bombardments targeted the villages of Nizarê, Gureşan, Alekan, Sîran, Xelîfan and Lêlkan.

According to reports, residents of Nizarê, Gûreşan, Alekan, Sîran, Xelîfan and Lêlkanê villages had to leave their homes for their safety.

A girl got wounded and civilian areas suffered great material damage as a result of attacks.

The Turkish army has invaded an area of some 20 kilometers in Southern Kurdistan territory. Violating the borders of Southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq, the Turkish state is building military bases in villages in this region where it planted its own flag.

In a press conference yesterday, Secretary General of Peshmerga Ministry Jabar Yaver claimed that they have no information about Turkish military activity in response to a question by RojNews reporter regarding the deployment of Turkish troops in Bermîzê and Binewanok villages, although documented with photos.

On the other hand, ‘peshmergas’ calling themselves Barzan Soldiers have blocked the entry and exit points in Bermîzê and Binewanok villages. Reports suggest that local people are subject to repression.
