Thousands have gathered in Şırnak earlier today before starting a march to Cizre and Silopi districts where an onslaught under the name of curfew is getting heavier every passing day.

HDP deputies Leyla Birlik, Lezgin Botan, Berdan Öztürk and Burcu Çelik as well as co-mayors of DBP-held municipalities are among the thousands who are currently marching to break the siege in Cizre and Silopi.

As the mass continues the march, chanting slogans “Murderer Erdoğan”, “PKK is the people, and the people are here” and “Long Live Kurdistan Resistance”, Turkish police and military forces have attacked the people with tear gas in an attempt to hinder the march to the two districts under fire.

While the attack continues, people are defending themselves and remain determined to reach Cizre and Silopi today.
