It is the 16th day of the popular resistance against the unfettered attacks of state forces in Gever. Bombing continues from 3 sides in Cumhuriyet and Güngör neighborhoods where the resistance is going strong.

The resistance against massacre policies put in place in Hakkari’s Gever (Yüksekova) district along with the declared curfew has reached its 16th day. In the town where state forces try to advance by demolishing houses, bombings of Zagros (Cumhuriyet) and Güngör neighborhoods from tanks stationed in Efeler Battalion, District Regimental Command and Şemzinan road started in the early hours of the morning.

Along with the bombing, several armored vehicles have been dispatched to the neighborhoods where clashes can be heard.

As a result of the heavy bombing, hundreds of residential and commercial buildings have been reduced to rubbles. The special operation gendarmerie and police forces JÖH and PÖH units stopped the fire fighters trying to enter the neighborhoods to put out the resulting fires.
