As many as 30 slain and wounded people are stuck in a basement and waiting for an ambulance in Şırnak's Cizre district for seven days now. Six of them have bled to death since, while 19 others are still suffering heavy injuries and some are in critical condition.

State forces that are not allowing ambulance access to the scene in Cudi neighborhood are also continuing to shell the building where dozens are suffering a growing torture every day.

Cizre Municipality ambulance attempted twice to enter the neighborhood and retrieve the wounded yesterday, but was hindered each time by the military forces in the area. The healthcare personnel was also detained and taken to Cizre police headquarters, and released after a while.

The building where dozens with wounds remain stuck was shelled by tank and artillery fire throughout last night and this morning. Armored vehicles deployed around the building are also reported to be conducting attacks with heavy arms.

HDP Şırnak deputy Faysal Sarıyıldız who is in the town himself said he has received a SMS from those in the basement this morning, which said "One of us has managed to unscrew the bolts of the water treatment tank and take out one liter of water, which sufficed only to wet everyone's lips one by one. Nobody here can speak at all, they just groan with pain."
