In Amed's central Sur district where popular resistance endures genocidal attacks for 70 days, heavy artillery aggression by state forces against the areas of self-rule continues ceaselessly.

As the neighborhoods of Cemal Yılmaz and Hasırlı remain under an intense fire since early this morning, a cannon shell fired by Turkish troops hit a civilian house and injured 4 people from the same family.

Unable to break the resistance of people despite all the attacks, state forces have made announcements from armored vehicles since yesterday, saying; “Surrender or we will conduct airstrikes”.

Civilian Defense Units (Yekîneyên Parastina Sivîl-YPS) are responding to the attacks which resulted in heavy clashes in Yoğurt Pazarı (Bazaar) area where many soldiers have been reported killed.

On the other hand, bodies of Cihat Morgül, Velat Bilen and Mahmut Oruç who have died in recent days are still being held at the scene and not allowed to be retrieved.
