While bombardments by state forces in Şırnak continued throughout the night, the neighborhoods that don’t have the trenches or barricades were raked all night from armored vehicles. Turkish forces trying to enter the neighborhoods were pushed back by Civilian Defense Units YPS and YPS-JIN.

Popular resistance for self-rule endures in the province of Şırnak where genocidal attacks by Turkish military and police forces enter the 14th day.

State forces pushed back from the neighborhoods by YPS and YPS-JIN shelled Yeni and Bahçelievler neighborhoods throughout the night with howitzer and artillery fire.

While numerous houses caught fire as a result of the shelling, it was the heavy rainfall during the night that prevented the fires from spreading.

During the course of the bombardments, sporadic clashes could be heard from Dicle, Yenimahalle and Bahçelievler neighborhoods.

Significant ambulance activity was observed in areas close to the scenes of clashes.

Several ambulances were spotted entering the 23rd Gendarmerie Border Division Command that was turned into a special hospital for the army and the police.

Meanwhile, state forces raked Vakıfkent and Gündoğdu neighborhoods, where there are no barricades or trenches, with grenade launchers from armored vehicles.

The shelling and the aggression on the city continues unabated.
