A state of emergency is being implemented in Sine province of Eastern Kurdistan (Rojhilat) following demonstrations in solidarity with the people of Banê who took to the streets in protest at the increasingly ongoing killing of kolbers (border porters).
ANF correspondent in Sinê reported that police forces and secret service members hold positions with armored vehicles at all main locations and roads leading to the neighbourhoods, and vehicles are patrolling on all streets of the city.
Our correspondent stated that the Iranian regime forces check identities and conduct house raids and searches in some of the neighbourhoods.
Following the killing of the kolbers Heyder Ferecî (21) and Qadir Behramî (41) by Iranian regime forces in Banê town of Sinê province on September 4, a huge demonstration was held at Freedom (Îqbal) Square in Sine the night before. The regime forces attacked the demonstrators and detained 8 of them.
