The hunger strike campaign in Hewler is taking place in front of the HDP representative office. It started on November 21 and continues on the 73rd day. The alternating hunger strike continues with determination and 37 different groups have taken turn so far.
Members of the Free Students Union have taken over the alternating hunger strike on Friday.
A member of the Union, Azad Ismail Uçar, made a statement on behalf of the students and said they support the hunger strike campaign to remove the isolation imposed on Ocalan.
Uçar urged the youth in Kurdistan Region to speak up for the hunger strike campaign, and demanded that the isolation on Ocalan be removed immediately.
On the other hand, the indefinite and non-alternating hunger strike by Kurdish activist Nasir Yagiz continues on the 73rd day. Yagiz’s health is deteriorating every moment.
