The Kakais who live in Southern Kurdistan also voiced their protest of the political genocide operations conducted by the AKP and the state.

Mamosta Yusuf, Hawre Tayip and Imam Davut spoke to ANF and protested the political genocide operations on the HDP by the AKP and the state.

Mamoste Yusuf stated that genocidal policies had been in place in Turkey against Kurds since 1920s and continued: “I am calling on the government of Southern Kurdistan and the political parties. After Selahattin Demirtaş and other parliamentarians are arrested, the Kurds must unite more. They must act together against these genocidal policies as a single force. Unfortunately, Turkey has never been on the side of peace. Kurds must come together and topple Erdoğan. Erdoğan’s fall will mean the Ottoman state failing again.”

Hawre Tayip said the genocidal politics carried out by Turkey against Kurds is a continuation of the Ottoman state policy against Kurds in the past and continued: “Erdoğan’s politics won’t achieve success. Because the Kurds are not the same as in the past. The Turkish soldiers are not in Bashika to liberate Mosul, their purpose is to carry out another massacre in Shengal. Defeating Kurds and breaking their unity is just an empty dream for them. Kurds today are stronger than ever before. Neither AKP nor Erdoğan can succeed.”

“We Kakais are with HDP until our last drop of blood,” said Imam Davut and continued: “The problem can’t be solved by arresting 40 million Kurdish people. The arrests of Demirtaş and other MPs have only deepened the issue. We as the Kakai people will continue our protests until Demirtaş and the MPs are released.”
