In Amed's central historic Sur district which remains under a siege and onslaught by Turkish forces for 82 uninterrupted days, attacks against the neighborhoods protected by locals are getting heavier every day.
No news can be received at the moment from some 200 people who still remain trapped in several basements in the neighborhoods under fire. A 90-day-old baby is among those trapped.
Early this morning, state forces have started an intensified artillery aggression on neighborhoods amid sounds of huge blasts and smokes rising over the district.
Ambulances were rushed to the district in the wake of two very big blasts that occurred today noon. Turkish helicopters are flying over the neighborhoods under siege.
In the meantime, KJA, DBP, HDP, DTK, and DEM-GENÇ have today organised a march to Sur to break the ongoing siege. Thousands gathered outside the AZC Plaza to join the march but got attacked by police yet before the beginning of the march. The mass was targeted with tear gas and water cannons.
