In the first phase of the campaign, the youth organized various meetings, seminars, marches and other activities. The youth also held a tent demonstration in Qamishlo and Dirbesiyê for a week. SECOND PHASE OF THE SERÎ HILDE CAMPAIGN

In the second phase of the campaign, the YCR wanted to cross into Southern Kurdistan on July 24 to support the youth and to condemn the Turkish state’s invasion attacks there, but were stopped by the KDP government. Afterwards, the youth launched a tent demonstration along the border to condemn KDP’s attitude towards the invading Turkish state’s attacks against Qandil and Southern Kurdistan.

YCR, Democratic Arab Youth Union, Young Women’s Union, MSD Youth, PYD Youth and youth from Raqqa, Manbij and Deir Ez Zor are participating in the demonstration which will continue for a month as announced.

The second phase of the Serî Hilde campaign is on its 10th day. The youth demonstration will continue until KDP reacts against the invading Turkish state’s violations and allows them to cross into Southern Kurdistan to support the youth acting as human shields against the Turkish state.

The tent demonstration starts in the morning and continues late into the night. There are daily seminars in the demonstration and the youth organize events like screenings of films depicting the resistance by the martyrs. Hundreds of citizens and NGO members from the Cizire region visit the tent every day to support the youth.

YCR administration member Ferhad Zagros spoke to ANHA about the goals of the demonstration and said: “Our goal is to support the Qandil resistance against the invading Turkish state. But the KDP stands between us and our right to defend our lands and our dignity. The invading Turkish state saw that the Kurdish people achieved great gains in the military and political areas and is now attacking Northern Syria, Qandil and Southern Kurdistan.”

Zagros stressed that they organize many actions and seminars daily and continued: “Arab and Kurdish youth come to participate and show support from all around Kurdistan, Rojava and Northern Syria.”

Part of the Arab constituents, a citizen named Qendil from the Til Koçer district who participates in the tent demonstration stated that they stand against the invading Turkis hstate who wants to break the will of the people, and added: “Our actions will continue until we go to Qandil to support the youth of Southern Kurdistan.”
