Cizire Canton TEV-DEM Assembly announced that outcomes of the Astana talks on Syria led by Iran, Turkey and Russia do not concern them.
Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) Assembly members made a press statement regarding the non-participation of the representatives of Syrian peoples in the Astana talks on Syria led by Iran, Turkey and Russia.
The press statement was read by the Council of Economy member Mele Beşîr who said the followings:
"As has been concluded from several talks held after the war during the past 6 years, the Syrian regime and all the involved foreign forces are seen not to be sincere on coming up with a solution to the crisis.
On the contrary, these forces are after dividing Syria and deepening the already present crisis. No conclusion has been reached from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd series of talks held in Geneva before.
The resolution of the Syrian crisis that remains a deadlock for 6 years will be achieved through the representatives of Syrian peoples.
The only alternative that will provide a solution to the crisis on Syrian lands is peoples' self-administration and Democratic Federal System.
We condemn the mindset that persistently rejects the will of Syrian peoples, and we announce hereby that the outcomes of these talks do not concern us.
We call upon all our people to enhance the struggle in order for the building of a democratic and federal Syria and resolution of the crisis in Syria."
