‘The freedom fighters who resisted in Kobanê also took revenge for Shengal’

Making a statement on the 9th anniversary of the liberation of Kobanê, the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Shengal said, "The guerrillas and freedom fighters who resisted in Kobanê also took revenge for Shengal."

The Democratic Autonomous Administration of Shengal issued a written statement on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of the liberation of Kobanê after 134 days of resistance against ISIS gangs that had besieged the city aiming for an entire occupation of the city.

"9 years ago, the biggest war of the century took place in Kobanê. In this war, the city of Kobanê was liberated as a result of the relentless resistance of Kurds and internationalist revolutionaries. A resistance with a great impact was revealed in a small city. Cruel states such as the Turkish state were defeated in the person of ISIS. Fascist chief Erdogan's dreams of the fall of Kobanê were dashed".

The statement underlined that resistance was developed simultaneously in Shengal and Kobanê by the comrades of Leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan) against the ISIS gangs sponsored by the Turkish state, adding: "With the resistance of guerrillas and freedom fighters, ISIS gangs were crushed in Shengal, while the beginning of defeat for the gangs developed in Kobanê resistance. The guerrillas and freedom fighters who resisted in Kobanê also took revenge for Shengal.”
