Thousands of people from Girkê Legê, Til Koçer and Tirbespiyê including representatives of the Democratic Autonomous Administration and non-governmental organisations staged a march in Martyr Kawa Square in Çilaxa town to protest the isolation of Öcalan and occupation of the Turkish state.
Speaking here, Til Koçer Regional Assembly co-president Newaf Xedan stated that: “As Arab people, we condemn the external occupation targeting our land. I am calling on the international community and all freedom activists to stand against Erdoğan's plans and occupation dreams, and to come here to see the fraternity of peoples for themselves. The Turkish state should know that their intention to separate us and divide Syrian lands will never be realized. We oppose the Turkish occupation.”
Condemning the isolation imposed by the Turkish state on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, Xedan urged Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his government to end the isolation immediately.
Xedan continued; “The Arab people in Turkey should put pressure on Erdoğan government to release Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.”
Speaking after, Girê Spî Kongreya Star Executive Member Nezîhe Sêfedîn underlined that: "We as the people of Rojava will continue our resistance and demand freedom for our leader on the streets day and night."
