HPG and YJA Star guerrillas hit the military barracks located on Şeyh Turki Hill in Sakarya neighborhood, and the Cumhuriyet police outpost in İnönü neighborhood at around 03:00 last night. Guerrillas later opened fire on both targets, which resulted in clashes that lasted till 10:00 Friday morning in some areas.
Besna Erzen (40) and her sonYusuf Erzen (10) got injured after they were hit by sharapnel pieces while sleeping on the roof of their house. Both have been taken under treatment at Siirt Public Hospital.
The city is witnessing a heavy presence and mobilization of Turkish military and police forces that laid a siege on Yeni, Ulus and Conkbayır neighborhoods and blocked all entry and exit points in these areas.
