Three SDF fighters laid to rest in Kobanê

SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) Commando Forces fighters Xebat (Ehmed Salih) and Diyar Efrîn (Elî Mişo), who were martyred at Tishrin Dam on April 17, and SDF fighter Şiyar Herekol (Hekîm Cezayêr), who was martyred in Manbij resistance, were laid to rest in the Şehit Dîcle Cemetery of Martyrs in Kobanê city.
SDF fighter Ferhad Kobanê (Ferhad Ebdî), who was martyred in Qamishlo on April 18, and HPG guerrilla Çiyager Dîcle (Îbrahîm Miho), who was martyred in Zap on July 22, were also commemorated during the ceremony which saw the participation of hundreds of people.
The ceremony started with a moment of silence. Speaking after, Dunya Mihemed, a member of the Assembly of Martyrs' Families in the Euphrates Canton, said: “The fighters we bid farewell to today took their place on the front lines of resistance for their land and people against the barbarism of the occupiers and sacrificed their lives in defense of their country. We pledge to uphold the values of the martyrs until the end.”
Mihemed Oso, Executive Member of the Euphrates Canton Military Council, said that they would follow in the footsteps of the martyrs of the freedom struggle. He stressed that in the spirit of unity of all peoples, they would stand against the attacks by the occupying Turkish state and achieve victory.
Deham Cezayêr, brother of martyr Şiyar Herekol, said, “Even if there is one of us left, we will follow the path of our martyrs and we will definitely win. We are a family of martyrs; my father fell a martyr, as did my brother and today another brother. We are ready to sacrifice more of us if we are asked. We promise our martyrs that we will follow their path.”
After the martyrdom certificates of the fallen fighters were read out and handed over to their families, Xebat (Ehmed Salih), Diyar Efrîn (Elî Mişo) and Şiyar Herekol (Hekîm Cezayêr) were laid to rest.
