After the dismissal of co-mayors Mehmet Muhdi Aslan and Nevin Oyman Girasun, a trustee was appointed to the municipality of Şırnak’s İdil district today.

Police officers besieged the municipal building this morning and informed the municipality in writing that district governor Ersin Tepeli has been appointed to the municipality as trustee. Tepeli stated that he was appointed as trustee and settled in the municipal building.

The number of Democratic Regions Party (DBP) municipality which have been seized through trustees rose to 25.
