After the arrest of Varto Co-Mayor Sabite Ekinci yesterday, Varto district governor Mehmet Nuri Çetin has been appointed as trustee to Varto Municipality.

Co-Mayor Sabite Ekince had been detained on November 3, and jailed after being charged with "membership in an organization" yesterday.

The other Co-President Hüseyin Güneş was released after the procedures at the district police headquarters yesterday.

The Ministry of Interior Affairs appointed Varto governor Mehmet Nuri Çetin as trustee to Varto Municipality after the arrest of Co-Mayor Sabite Ekinci.
