The occupying Turkish army continued its attacks with chemical weapons and banned explosives and carried out 129 such attacks against the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas in Metîna, Zap and Avaşîn in June.

Since the Garê attack on 10 February 2021, the invading, genocidal occupying Turkish army has been attacking the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas with chemical weapons and banned explosives in Metîna, Zap and Avaşîn in Medya Defence Zones and Southern Kurdistan. While the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas' war against the occupying Turkish army in the resistance tunnels in Metîna, Zap and Avaşîn continues in its fourth year, the occupying Turkish army attacked the guerrillas 129 times with chemical weapons and banned explosive bombs in June alone.

It is a well-known fact that the use of chemical weapons and banned explosives by the occupying Turkish army against the guerrillas falls within the scope of war crimes. Their use is prohibited throughout the world and this prohibition is monitored by the United Nations and independent international institutions. However, the Turkish army continues to use chemical weapons and banned explosives every day.

Although the Turkish army’s attacks on the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas with chemical weapons and banned explosive bombs have been repeatedly recorded and documented and shared with the world public opinion, the appeals of Kurdish and democratic institutions to independent international organizations are not responded to.

The data shared by the HPG-BIM (Press Office of People’s Defense Forces) with the press and the public about the attacks carried out by the occupying Turkish army with chemical weapons and banned explosives in June are as follows:

*On 30, 31 May and 1 June, the tunnels in Girê FM Resistance Area in Şehîd Delîl Western Zap region were bombed 21 times with toxic chemical gases.

*On 29 May and 1 June, the tunnels in Girê Amediyê Resistance Area in Şehîd Delîl Western Zap region were bombed 8 times with banned explosives.

*On 2 and 3 June, the tunnels in Girê FM Resistance Area in Şehîd Delîl Western Zap region were bombed 27 times with toxic chemical gases.

*On 2 and 3 June, the tunnels in Girê Amediyê Resistance Area in Şehîd Delîl Western Zap region were bombed 7 times with banned explosives.

*On 4 and 5 June, the tunnels in Girê FM Resistance Area in Şehîd Delîl Western Zap region were bombed 13 times with toxic chemical gases.

*On 4 June, the tunnels in Girê Amediyê Resistance Area in Şehîd Delîl Western Zap region were bombed 4 times with banned explosives.

*On 6 June, the tunnels in Girê FM Resistance Area in Şehîd Delîl Western Zap region were bombed 7 times with toxic chemical gases.

*On 24 June, the tunnels in Girê FM Resistance Area in Şehîd Delîl Western Zap region were bombed 4 times with banned explosives.
