Turkish army bombs Qereqozax bridge

The Turkish army attacked the Qereqozax bridge south of Kobanê and the village of Bir Hiso.

On Tuesday morning, the Turkish army shelled the Qereqozax bridge in the south of Kobanê and the village of Bîr Hiso near the bridge. So far, over 25 mortars have been fired on the area.

The Qereqozax bridge is of strategic importance for the defence of Kobanê and the entire autonomous regions east of the Euphrates. Turkish-backed mercenaries of the SNA (Syrian National Army) and the Turkish army have been trying for weeks to break the resistance of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), confronting relentless resistance.
