Turkish army terrorizes local people in Kulp

The Turkish military operations in Kulp district in Amed province continue. The population is afraid to go to the pastures and fears for their lives.

The Turkish military launched another operation in the countryside of Amed’s Kulp district on Monday with the participation of pro-government paramilitaries, so-called village guards.

The military is reported to be ambushing the area of operations surrounding the region of Şene (Şenyayla). During Tuesday night, special forces were observed traveling in civilian vehicles, allegedly disguised as HPG guerillas, and hiding in the forest. Such units are sent out again and again to terrorize the population.

These people yesterday opened fire on a child who was in the parental vegetable garden. Only by luck was the child not killed or injured. The people working in pasture farming can no longer leave their tents for fear of the special forces.
