“Turkish bases in Kurdistan Region are regrettable and shameful"

Reactions to the killing of civilians in South Kurdistan by the Turkish state, and the KDP’s attempts to legitimize the killing of the Kurds by the Turkish state, continue.

Mohammad Seddigh Kaboudvand, a human rights activist, journalist and head of the Kurdish Human Rights Organization, in a Twitter post, has responded to the killing of civilians by the Turkish state in South Kurdistan.

Kaboudvand’s message is as follows:

“The existence of military and intelligence bases of the oppressive regime of Turkey in Kurdistan Region is both regrettable and shameful. The Kurdish people in the Middle East must, by relying on their own civil force, avoid the violence and crimes of the oppressors, and free themselves from the subjugation of colonialism and self-centered individuals.”

It is worth noting that Mohammad Seddigh Kaboudvand spent 10 years in the prisons of the Iranian regime for his human rights activities and defense of the Kurdish people – he was released on May 12, 2017.
