Turkish invasion forces that continue their attacks against southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq, have launched an artillery attack on Barzan region at 15:30 Saturday afternoon.
According to RojNews, the bombardment targeted an area in Şêrwan Mezin sub-district in Hewler’s (Erbil) Mergesor region, and killed a 19-year-old woman.
The woman was identified as Dinyar Reşid Naci from the village of Bawra. Her body has been taken to Soran Forensic Medicine Institute.
The Turkish state has been attacking South Kurdistan region for months, systematically targeting civilian areas. Prohibited weapons such us cluster munition have also been used in Turkey’s attacks that harm local people the most. Dozens of civilians have been victims of Turkey’s aerial bombardments and artillery attacks.
